Taste London
From Coachella to Glastonbury, it can be hard to choose which one. But if food be thy music, then we have the perfect festival for you. Taste of London is set in the lush gardens of London’s Regents park where you can tiptoe through the tulips until the sweet scents of flowers are eclipsed by the sensual aromas of international cuisine.
For five days, each summer (and again in the winter), Taste gives you the chance to indulge in a selection of the best food from some of London’s top restaurants. From old friends like Roka and Club Gascon to newcomers like Senior Ceviche, Yosma and Temper, there’s something for everyone.
Wander through the deckchair-clad mini gardens and stalls. Take in some Tango whilst you quaff wine and sample steak from Uruguay. Relax in the sun and sip prosecco or watch interactive demonstrations from your favourite chefs. There’s even a sit-down dining experience, where lucky guests can be catered to by top chefs. And for those who would rather be on the other side, vying for their first Michelin star, there are daily masterclasses.
We went along to sample a few of these delicacies. The sun was shining, the Pimms was flowing. We loved the heritage carrots and spiced chick peas with labneh and pomegranate, courtesy of the Duck and Waffle. And the Pan seared Barbary duck breast, sesame tamarind chutney, spiced confit duck leg and mappas foam from the Cinnamon club was delectable. Every sense was catered for and we left feeling so satisfied, a music festival from the comfort of our own sofa seemed like the perfect digestif!!
See the Taste of London website for details of the next edition on 16th – 19th of November at Tobacco Dock.
