KWK AW23

"As part of the KWK AW23 collection, Hong Kong avant-garde designer Kay Kwok introduced us to LALA, a part-human, part-robotic creature who captured the imagination of the crowds with her story during LFW. Lala transported us to the year 2100, where she lived hundreds of meters underground, engulfed in loneliness after losing friends and family while trying to escape from an infertile and toxic Earth. Deemed unsuitable for this new order, she only passes time with her companion, a cyborg dragon that offers her protection and companionship. A futuristic glamour is shown through digitally powered avatars, metallic looks, as well as leather, denim, and cargo pants, which seem to be popular among youth today. The cross-cultural blending between the present and the future tends to evolve over time as they interact with each other and change societal and cultural values. The soundscape is provided by Darya, a visionary sound producer, violinist, and singer whose futuristic soundtrack is rooted in today's technology, like Chat GTP.”
