Woman Up!
East End Prints, London's favourite graphic art shop, has a new home and last week they filled it with art, music and guests to celebrate powerful, inspirational women past and present in a new collection. Works included the likes of Patti Smith, Frida Kahlo and Vivienne Westwood recreated in print, paint and beautiful illustrations. There were a few sore heads at the end, but the celebrated women would have expected nothing less!
The team have been showcasing the talents of local emerging and established artists since 2010, providing a one-stop shop for affordable prints and framing. The wide selection of inspiring works is available online and in their new venue. The shop feels like a cosy home from home, and the team are happy to provide insight on the artists and prints.
Since their beginnings, they have built a loyal customer base as well as commercial clients like Habitat, Urban Outfitters and Paperchase. They provide a platform for new and original talents, making their works accessible to a broader audience. It's a win-win for everyone.
Last Friday the DJs played on amongst talk of inspiring women whilst creative minds exchanged numbers and brewed new ideas. East End Prints is a hub of creativity run by a strong team of inspiring women. Patti, Frida and Vivienne would be proud!
